Started in late 2016, the Eldert St. Garden tribute to victims of police violence seeks to bring light to the subject of police brutality, and engage the community in the mourning process. Each victim has at least one plant placed in their name, to grow in the community in a way that they no longer have the chance to do in their own. On each plant there is a ribon with the name of the victim, the years of their life, and, in some cases, their last words.
