03. Remote Local

For the Remote Local project, we had to create a site in response to
a location of our choosing that changes form depending on whether
we look at it from our phones or our desktop computer. The space I
chose was the cafeteria area in the University Center on the 2nd floor.
Its where most students have lunch and hang out in between classes.
This space is designed for the purpose of student interaction and
it allows space for people to chill and hang out with so many
seating options. It receives a lot of sunlight during the day and
the windows are floor to ceiling so you can get a lot of exposure to
the outside world. I was attracted to the space mainly for the exposure
to sunlight and the way the sun rays reflect onto the space. My concept
was to visually capture the feeling of sunlight poking through the
space and to push the visual effects a little further in accordance
to the scale and size of the images, in a way that my audience could
relate to.
